Editor's review Defpix

Defpix program icon

Defpix, as the name suggests, is an acronym for Defective Pixels- which is a software devised for the sole purpose of detection of dead or defective pixels on the user’s screen. Relying on showing the colors like Red, Green, Blue, White and Black over the whole surface, the program finds quite a bit of use in defective pixel detection. Let’s have a look at the advantages as well as disadvantages this program poses to the user: Pros • Multiple monitor compatibility • No installation required • Availability in multiple versions, i.e. “1.1” “”, “1,2,5,10” “” • Minimal resource requirement • Portability of software Cons • Dull detection • Doesn’t detect the pixels while the monitor is in sleeping mode
