Cool Record Edit Deluxe (CRED) is a recording app where you can copy existing files or record any audio live or as something plays. You can record live with someone speaking into a microphone. You select the options for recording, like volume, quality, source, and then push record to begin. The EDIT part of CRED is for all of the options that CRED provides to alter and clean up the sound content on your file. As a part of edit or play you can display the audio’s image in waveform, or any number of other options available to you. You can zoom in or out on any of the wave display. You can apply any number of effects to your audio, such as filtering. You can clean up crackling as a quality improvement filtering. You get the selection option of an array of audio formats. As examples: MPEG (MP3, MP2), WAV, Windows Media Audio, Ogg Vorbis, Audio Tracks and Dialogic VOX. There are many more. Converting one format to another is simple with a few strokes or clicks. You can generate voice clips and snippets. You can merge any number of audios, clips, and snippets into a single audio stream. This activity is easy with a nice group of edit features: Cut, Copy, Delete, Paste, Paste From File, Mix, Mix From File and Insert or Delete noise or silence. This is just a short list of the many options you have. A short list of effects options is: Amplify, Delay, Equalizer, Fade, Flanger, Invert, Normalize, Reverse, Multi Tap Delay, Silence, Stretch, Vibrato, Echo, and Chorus. Filters and filtering is an important aspect of audio quality. CRED has a great set of filters. Here is a short list of those: Ban Pass Filter, High Pass Filter, High Shelf Filter, Low Pass Filter, Low Shelf Filter, Notch Filter. CRED is a great app.
