DVD Shrink is a helpful tool to store DVD- Video- Discs on a single DCDE- Disc. DVD- Shrink is able to back- authorize the moves as well as back- encode it. It offers an intuitive user interface, which makes it easy to choose what to store and what to remove. DVD Shrink allows the user to choose different levels of compression for every single video track, to get this way the wished disc size (which is normally under 4.38 GB). The software is able to create an ISO image of the ribbed DVD or to put in a Video_TS file for further processing, view or burn. Please note:
DVD shrink is not able to burn DVDs! The output of DVD Shrink is stored as flies on your hard disc. Then you can burn it on a DVD-R if you use separate burning software, like for example the software provided together with your DVD-R drive.
Chances in DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 versus DVD Shrink 3.1.7:
Additional quality setup- register in the back up dialog with an option, ACE"Adaptive Error Compensation"-to activate algorithm. - Upgraded to NeroSDK 1.05, which includes a support for burning of DVD-9 Dual-Layer-media. Additional DVD-9-target -size in the pre- installation window.
- The "Burn with DVD Decrypter"-Checkbox was removed and replaced by a selectable backup target.
- Additional burning with CopyToDVD as backup-target, this shows up when CopyToDVD is installed.
- Additional automatic support for the partitioning of ISO-files, if stored on a FAT32-Partition.
In that case there is also issued a MDS -file, which can be burned with DVD Decrypter and can be installed with Daemon Tools then. MDS- files can be opened additionally with DVD Shrink from the "Open Disc Image..."-menu. Additional support to introduce an intro title with a user defined picture. A preinstalled picture of Guy incognito is ready set up.
