Publisher description for DVD to Android
If you have a mobile phone or any other device running Android and you would like to watch your DVD movies on it - so that you can enjoy them anywhere - you will probably be interested in trying ???DVD to Android???. This is a software program designed to convert your DVD movies - and also simpler video files - into a format that your Android device is able to play back without any problems. The program presents a very simple and original single-window interface that acts as a wizard, which will guide you through the few steps required to convert your original material into the desired format. On the first screen, you can choose between "DVD content" and "Video content". For DVD Content, however, the program only accepts a physical DVD (VIDEO_TS folders are not allowed). When it comes to Video Content, however, it allows you to choose a video file in any of the supported formats, and it will play it back automatically on a preview area with the looks of a modern cell-phone. The next screen allows you to start the conversion directly, without any further configuration. However, it also offers you an Advanced mode that allows you to select your original video size - Normal (4:3), Widescreen (16:9), and Cinemascope modes. From here, the following screens can only be accessed through the Advanced mode. The next one allows you to choose between "Show all" and "Zoom in" modes, meaning that the program may either leave the video untouched or remove any black bars existing in your video. There is an additional screen where you can decide if you would like to get a high-quality converted video, or a lower-quality one to save disk space. However, no detailed configuration is allowed here. Finally, from here you can also proceed with the conversion process directly. Besides all of that, the program also offers a menu bar that provides access to certain additional tools and parameter configuration. For example, you can set the memory card size to 1 GB, 2 GB or bigger; set the phone display resolution, and toggle the safe mode on or off. Additionally, the program offers the possibility to download videos from YouTube or Altavista. However, it does not actually include any video downloader - it merely opens a web site on your browser that allows you to download those videos by providing the corresponding URLs. The conversion process is pretty fast and secure. This trial version does not impose any time restrictions - however, it only generates 3-minute long videos. Besides that, the program installer demands that you have a DVD drive, an Android mobile phone, and 4 Gigabytes of free disk space for a full length movie conversion.
