Publisher description for APT Computer Access Manager
If you are a Library, Internet cafe, or any other business that makes your computers available to the general public, this package is for you. APT Computer Access Manager consists of two programs. APT Master runs on a single computer and generates passwords to allow access to other "client" computers on a network. APT Client runs on each of the client computers you want to manage. When started, the client program presents a full screen logon dialog that prevents access to the computer until a password generated by the Master is entered. When the password is accepted, access to the computer is allowed for a specified time period. At the end of this period, the logon dialog reappears prohibiting access until another password is generated by the Master computer. Features * The Master and Client computers must run a supported Windows operating system but the network can be any that supports Windows clients (Windows, Novell, Unix, etc.). * The length of user sessions can be configured independently on each client allowing for "short session" and "long session" clients. * User session passwords are radomly generated and good for a limited time on the specific client you choose. Once the user logs on, the password is no longer valid. * Indicates status of each client computer (free, in use, pending logon). * Logs every session and provides utilization report. * Optionally Lock out system key combinations. If not enabled, program does not interfere with existing "keylock" programs. * Master can send commands to clients to increase session times, log off client sessions, and several other functions.
