Editor's review Office Reader
Office Reader is your alternate option when you do not want to pay for MS Office. It opens, lets you manipulate the view to what you want it to be, and then lets you print any MS Office format, fully or highlighted portions or other options as in MS Office. It is free to you / no charge, and is freeware, therefore being enhanced and improved by its dedicated community. There is no PDF reader, but FoxPDF is recommended. It is not free, but certainly less expensive than Adobe and MS Office. It runs as a Win app and works in every Win Op environment, in both 32 and 64 bits systems. You get the clarity and quality results when you print MS Office docs with Office Reader. You have the options to zoom and pan and configure your screen display much like in MS Office apps. It includes all of window / screen manipulation options such as split, fit all, mirror, rotate, size adjustments, and the like. Office Reader works faster that MS Office apps because it does not have the large resource footprint that MS Office requires. You have all of the file and language options that MS Office has: English, French, German, Italian, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, and Japanese, just to name a few. Office Reader steps in for MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) and will handle all current file formats and the previous file formats as the MS apps do. Office Reader is the most popular app suite in the world when it comes to using something other than MS Office products on your machine. Like MS Office, Office Reader is a single-machine, standalone software package.
