Publisher description for Visual Vision EbooksReader
Visual Vision EBooksReader is an e-book reader specifically designed for books in AEH format, i.e., e-books created using Visual Vision`s EBooksWriter. Its simple interface offers you a customizable reading experience, with all the basic functionality you need to easily navigate the book, search for specific text, or add comments to each section of the book.If you are looking for a nice and free e-book reader for your PDFs and ePUB documents, you got to the wrong page. EBooksReader is a Visual Vision tool for EBooksWriter's AEH e-book, not the average e-book reader that supports a dozen of different file formats. It was never advertised as such, so though it is certainly a pity, it cannot be considered a limitation to its functionality. The version reviewed here is the standalone Windows version of the program »“ as opposed to the one that comes with the book creation tool - which you can freely download and execute on any PC, allowing you to enjoy your AEH books in any Windows-based computer. Besides, as the executable provided needs no installation and weighs less than 1 MB, you can carry your player and your books with you at all times »“ say, on a USB flash drive - and enjoy reading them on any laptop or PC.The functionality provided is nothing extraordinary, but it is certainly enough to make your reading experience a pleasant one. If present, you will be shown the book cover every time you open an AEH e-book, and from there you can jump to the table of contents or to a specific paragraph in the book (using the program`s search capabilities). You can also move using the navigation arrows provided, in the same way you move through the Internet using your browser. The font cannot be changed, but its size can be customized to fit your needs. You can also select and copy any portion of text or even the whole book, and store your selection in the clipboard for further use. Finally, EBooksReader allows you to add comments to each of the entries in the table of contents »“ this means that you can add as many comments as needed to each subdivision already existing in the book (such as chapters or subchapters), but you will not be able to associate any of those comments to a word or a sentence. The good news is that those comments will still be there the next time you open the book.
