Frequency Tuner is a program that can measure the frequency of a sound and convert it to a note. The program was developed the for the Windows CE 3.0 Operating System and tested with the Compaq iPAQ 3630 Pocket PC (ARM processor). Frequency Tuner was developed for the iPAQ3630. This device uses an ARM processor. The previous version only ran on the PocketPC OS. The new version on Frequency Tuner also comes in a special CE compliant version. Further it is possible to run Frequency Tuner on a normal Windows desktop running it on a PocketPC emulator. This emulators is included in the 'Microsoft eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0' which can be freely downloaded Microsofts website.You can also seperately download the PPC 2000 SDK using the following Link: PPC 2000 SDK. Version 2.0 includes besides a lot of improvements to the native measurement method some new functionality: A new measurement method using Fast Fourier Transforms (FFT). 2 new view modes: FFT Spectrum and Tune Tracker.
