She is well known for her association with cosmetics company Maybelline and for her appearances as a model in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She landed film roles as a French model in Little Black Book, as one of Dracula's brides in Van Helsing Josie Maran was born and raised just outside San Francisco in Menlo Park, and graduated from an all-girls private school. Although she now resides in Manhattan, California will always be considered home. Following the path of many other models, Maran did not initially aspire to be a model.
