Publisher description for PHP Metadata
PHP Metadata is a set of PHP libraries that makes it easy to retrieve metadata (saved in an XML file) for content on your web server. The XML file stores each file's name and absolute path, the latter of which doubles as a unique identifier. The files do not have to be PHP scripts; they can be images, videos, PDFs, and so on. Plus, Creative Commons licensing information for individual files (among other metadata) can easily be embedded in the XML database. With a few simple function calls, you can automatically retrieve and display metadata (like title, description, keywords, etc.) for any file on your server, which is useful for style/content separation in PHP pages, or for media cataloging purposes.
