Publisher description for Zone Runner Compilation
Back in December 2002 I started a competition with a fellow game-maker. The target? To create a game in two weeks. What followed was a pretty disasterous game attempt, which ended up being scrapped. With four days to go, I quickly knocked up an engine and made the original Zone Runner. It became one of my most successful games ever. The sequel was released in May 2003 and featured its very own save system! The Zone Runner games are pretty simple to explain. In both platformers, you have to collect all the coins in each stage while avoiding contact at all with anything bad. The games can get pretty addictive, but they are also very challenging - in particular Zone Runner 1. Both games have had a great degree of success, appearing in various magazines across the world such as Bravo Screenfun and Retro Gamer. In fact, the Zone Runner series played a very big factor as the inspiration behind the freeware classic "N" - which is also available on XBox Live and due to be released on PSP and DS (Click here to read the "N" developers blog at IGN.com) At this current time, I'm in the planning stages of a third game.
