Canasta is a Spanish word that means ‘basket.’ The name comes from the fact that you will collect different baskets of cards, where you need to collect (meld) at least seven cards in a basket. You will play the game with four jokers and cards in two packs. This Classic Canasta uses rules that are a bit different from the American version. Play against the computer as you demonstrate your skills. The game features great graphics that make it quite enjoyable. Once you have played the trial version, you will not hesitate to unlock its full potential by purchasing the full version.

Canasta is a fascinating Rummy type card game in which you collect or meld 'baskets' of cards, Canasta being the Spanish word for basket. Played with two packs of cards and four Jokers, you must make melds of 7 or more cards and these are called Canastas. There is an American version of Canasta with slightly different rules to Classic Canasta. This is the Classic version and you play against the computer, George. Good graphics, excellent Help files and the ability to save games and play a Demonstration game. You may play as many games as you like five times before it is necessary to register for the resonable price of $17.50. You can then play unlimited games.
