Publisher description for Build-a-lot 6- On Vacation
Build-a-lot 6 on Vacation is a strategy game with a real state theme. In this regard, you will have to manage time and resources to complete certain goals, normally related to raising a given quantity of money and building special types of constructions according to the needs of the specific town (or its major`s whims). This game has two modes: career and casual. However, you have to start in career mode and win all the levels before the casual mode is unlocked. Getting to know the gameplay and rules are easy because whenever a new game element is introduced, you will have tutorial support to tell you exactly what to do. As you advance in the game, the levels will become increasingly complex and demanding, which will probably keep you hooked to it for a while. Your role in the game is that of a realtor and builder. Your company has been contracted by the local major to develop a certain neighborhood. At first, you will be given little money and materials, and perhaps some empty plots. Then, you will have to use the resources given wisely to earn more money. In this respect, you will be able to build different types of houses and hotels, which you may rent or sell. Sometimes, to increase the property´s value, you can also upgrade it or build other recreational facilities next to it. On the other hand, building ugly structures, like factories and workshops, may decrease these properties` appeal, thus reducing their value. To win a level, you need to do whatever you are instructed to do, which usually includes earning a certain amount of money, owning specific types of constructions or raising the town`s appeal to a given level. As a whole, Build-a-lot 6 on Vacation does not offer really significant variations from former games of the Build-a-lot series. However, it has been added extra excitement by choosing a vacation theme and related objects. It also has a certain educational value because the user will be trained in decision-making strategies. The accompanying music is repetitive but it can be turned off. The graphics are excellent with a good resolution but the buildings could have more varied designs. It is a game which I personally find very entertaining and I would like to recommend.
