Publisher description for Counting Frame
This program is a very basic counting frame using beads to help in adding up or take away. Each bead represents one unit. They are different colours only to make it look a little more interesting, they are all the same value i.e. 1. There are 10 rows of 10 beads, making 100 in all. Using the mouse pointer to click on each bead at the end of a row will make that bead move to the left of the frame and add 1 to the total below the frame. Clicking on that same bead when it is over to the left will move it back to the right and take away (subtract) 1 from the total. If you click a bead in the middle of a row, that bead and all the ones to left of it will move across to the left and the total number of those beads will be added. Similarly if you click on a middle bead of a row on the left of the frame, these will be taken away. There is a small tally (total) of each row kept just to the left on the frame woodwork. This program should stay on top of any other Windows. Clicking on any program running below it, will take you back to that program and drop this one down to the task bar at the bottom of your screen. To get this program back, just click on its entry in the task bar. It will have kept your last total. Clicking the Help button will produce this help page. Clicking the Clear button will reset the beads and the total to zero.
