Browse Control performs Internet Access Control and Application Blocking to clamp down on users spending time on non-work related web activities and also peventing users from running unauthorised software such as KazaA, etc.. Internet Restriction: Use Browse Control to restrict inappropriate web surfing and enforce Internet usage policies in your organisation. Browse Control can: completely block Internet, allow access only to Web sites you specify, schedule Internet ON at only certain times of day. e.g. Lunch Time or after/before lectures. Application Blocker: The Application Blocker functionality enables you to enforce the policy of preventing any type of applications from being run by users. From Solitaire to KaZaa, the running of any .exe file can be prevented by simply including the name of the application on the Browse Control Blocked Applications List. Browse Control traps applications by using the internal windows name so users re-naming .exe files will not by-pass the Browse Control software. It also is excellent at Blocking Kazaa Type P2P applications which port hop.
