Publisher description for MyLogon
MyLogon provides network-oriented user authentication, in which the user's logon affects only that person's access to network resources, the behaviour and appearance of the workstation remaining a constant for all users. It also makes a proper, FileServer-based logon available to small networks which would not normally have the benefit of an Active Directory Controller. MyLogon may also offer advantages for laptop-users who connect to multiple domains, business workgroups, data-entry stations, and situations where users must be able to log-on at any computer interchangeably. Permits "Any user, any computer" logon. Transforms ad-hoc workgroup into a 'real' network. Well-suited to data-entry "kiosk" applications. Saves on licensing-costs for very small networks. Permits Windows XP Home to join a network. Ideal for laptop-users who visit several sites. Suits most Windows servers, and Linux/Samba. Simplifies user-account management.
