Disk fragmentation causes performance degradation, which in most cases is the direct reason for computers upgrade ahead of time. Unfortunately, fragmentation was never measured until now in units that may help the user to decide what to do. Lacelevel measures the fragmentation level of a disk in unique number, regardless of its size, and the user may determine the status of his disk and take action accordingly. The concept is valid whether you have a single disk and you want to know when to defrag, or if you have many computers, and you need to decide where to start your maintenance cycle.
