Recovery of complete storage media
By use of a specially developed algorithm, O&O FormatRecovery 4 can search for files on formatted or deleted disks and restore them even when the data are heavily fragmented! In contrast to O&O UnErase 4 and O&O DiskRecovery 4, O&O FormatRecovery 4 can also restore files with missing directories and configuration information.

The advanced functions of the special search algorithms in O&O FormatRecovery 4 enable it to first detect and then ignore defective sectors. This means it can recover data from storage media that is damaged but still accessible. The special algorithm also supports the recovery of hidden or system files with their corresponding attributes, making possible the recovery of empty file systems in order to completely reconstruct a whole storage medium. A data storage medium need only be recognized by Windows a data recovery to be possible.
