With Outlook-Plus you can:
- View and maintain the same contacts on several Outlook clients
- Share a Outlook folder structure (like Public Folders in MS-Exchange) (available in an upgraded version)
- Synchronize personal folders between a desktop and a notebook computer (available soon) (available in an upgraded version)
- View other users calendar and tasks (available soon) (available in an upgraded version)
- Share activities recorded to contacts (available in an upgraded version)
- Send E-Mail from Outlook Client to Outlook Client (available soon) (available in an upgraded version)
In principle, this is a great idea, especially for a small office were people often have to share computers. My biggest problem is with the seemingly complete lack of support. We occasionally encounter a run-time error that I wrote the authors about weeks ago. I received an auto-reply suggesting that they were reorganizing and I wouldn't hear for a couple of weeks. That was two months ago. With Microsoft's recent changes related to email security, we now get messages that a program (Outlook Plus) is trying to access e-mail addresses. The user can can allow access but it's a pain to have to do this all of the time. The program can be modified to get around this, or at least I've seen others report that other synchronizing programs have been changed to allow it, but based on my experience with Outlook Plus' technical support, I'm not holding my breath. It's really a shame because the program has promise.
