The number of spam senders is still on the rise and will most probably not decrease. When legislation passes a new law, the spam senders simply move their business to another state or even another country. Since spam senders want to make sure that the recipient reads the mail, it is getting more and more difficult to separate spam mails and wanted mails. This consumes a great deal of the recipient’s time and causes higher costs if this happens in a business environment. Pixbyte AntiSpam AVE can be used to filter mail en route from the mail server to the client software (e. g. MS Outlook, Eudora, TheBat, and every email client software that uses POP3 to receive emails). The client program connects to the Pixbyte AntiSpam AVE proxy which in turn connects to the mail server. The emails that the server returns pass through the proxy and are scanned and filtered.
