Software is very slow (a couple of times I thought my system had frozen...but it hadn't), but it is successfully recovering a disk that was in very bad shape. This alone makes it worth the money for the full version. Documentation is not great, but adequate for a moderate to power user. Make sure you uninstall the freeware version before installing full version (this did make my pc blow up). Also, at one point, it appeared that everything was gone. After running the "search for lost files" as recommended it all came back.
