Publisher description for Double Image
Double Image copies data from local, external or network drives. Backups can be performed with over 40 different disk file systems, CD/DVD and memory cards, including network attached storage from D-Link, Iomega, HP, Netgear, Seagate, Buffalo, Western Digital, and others. A unique file date-time comparison is automatically used to make fast differential copying of all files, regardless of drive file system type. Files are copied natively - what you see on the source is what you see on the backup drive. Multiple backup sessions can run at the same time - Double Image is designed to run multi-threaded with as many simultaneous copy sessions and you need. User interface or commands - Double Image can run from a user interface or from another initiating program using commands and command variables. Double Image works with any drive Windows recognizes including local and external drives, network drives, CD/DVD drives, USB Flash drives, eSATA, Firewire, iSCSI, Memory cards. Scheduler - users can schedule unique backup sessions using the Double Image scheduler interface. The scheduled tasks are then created in the Windows Task Scheduler job list. Double Image performs well on desktops and laptops - use Double Image to backup Windows PCs including networked PCs and network storage devices. Double Image performs well with servers - use Double Image to backup Windows Servers, including Windows Virtual machines, Linux, IBM Domino, Blackberry servers and other networked machines. NAS backups are fast and reliable - Double Image backups are done quickly by using a unique incremental copying scheme to deal with terabyte drives. Double Image can backup NAS devices from D-Link, Iomega, HP, Netgear, Seagate, Buffalo, Western Digital, and more. Keep using your PC while the backups run - users may still use their computers while backups occur and without interruption. Double Image does not require much processor or memory to run. Run simulation backups or simulation restores before actual use - all done without changing any disk data; then view the results in a summary or extensive event color log. Restore files with confidence - restoring large quantities of files can be fast when copying only what has changed between the backup and the restore target. Security - Double Image adheres to the security rules of the operating system and administrator user settings, providing for safe and unattended backup and copy sessions. Backup and restores perform to high standards for data security and off-site control. An example of this usage is with health insurance and medical facilities that require HIPAA compliance with personal information.
