Editor's review Tidy

Tidy program icon

In the Finder there is a command "Clean up", that can be used to position the icons of a Finder window (in Icon view) in a regular grid. Nevertheless, the distance between the icons is extremely big under Mac OS X, much bigger than under classic MacOS. Under Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) the distance is even bigger than under Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), that makes this feature frequently almost useless owing to the waste of space. The application Tidy will solve those problems. Tidy will moreover, like the Finder, tidy up the icons, however, it is much more forceful. With Tidy you are able to configure the horizontal as well as vertical distance between the icons in an extensive range. Moreover, there are numerous various grids, you can choose how many columns of icons will be used. You can even MOVE all sub Folders to the top followed by all other icons, hence, all folder can be reached more conveniently (no more searching for a certain folder that has been burried in tons of other files).
