Athena FirewallGrader is a free tool that compares your firewall against several hundred pre-analyzed firewalls and computes complexity factors that are not found in the rule listing. High complexity firewalls are likely to contain duplicated rules, policy errors and security risks which all increase the cost and effort to manage the firewall. FirewallGrader provides a high level summary of how the firewall is designed.
