Publisher description for PC MightyMax 2011
PC MightyMax is a Windows Registry optimizing software application that combines several tools and methods to detect all kinds of errors than may be present on your system's Registry - which commonly causes problems like system slowness, crashes, and instability - and repair them.Unfortunately, the repairing functions of PC MightyMax`s trial version are disabled, so that you can only use it to scan your system and read the error reports, but not to fix any of them, which makes it a useless trial. You are asked to buy a license and register the program in order to be able to actually repair and optimize your system. The shortest license term costs you $29 and lasts only 14 days, and the longest one rises to $119.95 per year, for which I would say this program is pretty expensive. When you run the program for the first time, it will perform an initial Registry scan and will show you the first error report. After that, you can access its main interface, where you can switch to any of the three tabs provided - Scan, Tools, and Settings. The first one, of course, allows you to scan your system, but lets you define first the kind of scan you want to perform. You can choose among Quick, Balanced, and Complete scanning processes, and define your customized profile by selecting only the areas you would like to be checked. The Tools tab, as its name implies, offers you various other helpful system utilities. These tools are - System Restore, System Information, Control Panel and Windows Update (which are actually shortcuts to the corresponding Microsoft Windows utilities), and Startup Manager, a custom tool to control the programs that automatically launch themselves when Windows starts. The Settings tab offers you the chance to configure some parameters to customize the program's overall performance. Furthermore, the program includes an icon which allows you to automatically search for updates.PC MightyMax appears to be a very good program, capable of detecting a wide variety of system errors. However, it installs an icon on the system tray that is impossible to close (at least, using conventional methods), which means that the program is always running, either you like it or not. The only way to remove that icon is to uninstall the program.
