With the Yahoo Messenger you can make calls over the internet and talk as well as by phone. All what you need is a head set or a microphone and loudspeakers. Is very simple- you have to click only on the call button? When your interlocutor is offline on the other side, you can leave a spoken message. You will even get a much better sound quality than over the phone. There is a big difference. Find friends, add and share... it is easier than ever before to add friend to the messenger and to invite them. You even can send your contact information to the address book of a friend.

Yahoo's Instant Messenger or IM exists since 1998 and since then the Yahoo people work constantly to make the program better and better. You can chat with people all over the world, even if you don?t have an email, don?t worry, if you .... To the Yahoo IM you will get an email account additionally. The same has to be said if you have already a Yahoo mail, this way you get an IN- ID. Yahoo offers constant updates and their service is superb.
Pros
There are a lot of pros about Yahoo, for example the chat rooms for which you can search in your Instant Messenger. There is also an easy way to add friends, simply fill in your Yahoo Id or your email address. Yahoo's newest version gives you the chance to add even your MSN friends. Yahoo IM also allows you to create Yahoo ID photos which represent the true - or the cyber- I. You also can add alternative personalities to your Yahoo ID, giving you the freedom to play around. Yahoo has many available versions and works well together with Windows. Yahoo also offers plug -in, file sharing, off-line message retrieval, you can both play games in IM or on your web site and so make a little more of the time together. You now can chat also with MSN Messenger.
Cons
There are few cons regarding the Yahoo- IM- program, one is the download size, if you use dial connections the download can last for quite a while. Anyway, the download installer can be saved on disc, which makes it easier the next time you have to run the program. Yahoo IM now also is available for MAC- user but has to go still a long way to get on equal level with the Windows version. If you and your friends have different versions of the Yahoo IM, than you might note that you cannot share all the features.
Summary
Can Yahoos' IM get any better as this? Naturally, thanks to the Yahoo developers who always change and update to make the Yahoo IM always better as the one before. If it comes to IM Yahoo is definitively the way to go, therefore I rate it with a 9plus out of ten.
