Publisher description for Access Chess
This is a chess game designed to be used by a handicap single switch or double switch user. The game program scans the board in three or four phases. First it hilighting all the pieces in each row that can move. The handicap user waits for the program to select the row with the piece that he/she wants to move, then clicks the switch. Next the program hilights each piece in that row that can move one at a time. The player clicks the switch when the desired piece is hilited. Now the program hilights the squares that are possible moves for the selected piece. For pieces with simple moves like pawns and knights each move is hilighted. For pieces like the queen, first all the squares in a particular direction are hilighted for the player to select. Then each square in that direction is hilighed so that player can select the exact square along the chosen line. Sounds complicated but the program will guide the player and repeat the choices if needed. The other player now uses the mouse to select a piece from the other side and select where to move it. Rinse and repeat. Note: You will be able to download the product immediately after ordering!
